AIA Annual Conference 2021

Annual Conference 2021 now open for registration


Our Conference this year is to be a virtual event, accessible via Zoom, to run over a number of weekends in August and September in place of the physical conference which was to have run in Liverpool.
 All sessions are open to everyone (except the AGM which is open to AIA members only) and attendance is free.

The programme begins with four talks we would have heard in Liverpool presented by the Merseyside Industrial Heritage Society:
August 7th at 10:30 ‘The Industrial Heritage of Merseyside’ by Maurice Handley; ‘Wirral’s Industrial Heritage’ by Rob Jones
September 4th at 10:30 ‘Recent Excavations at Princes Dock’ by Mark Adams; ‘The Restoration of Albert Dock’ by Anthony Clarke

September 18th A one day seminar on the theme:“The impact of Covid-19 on the industrial heritage sector”
At 10:30:
Shane Gould speaking about the impact in England;
Mike Nevell speaking about the view from the perspective of the IHSO;
Two further speakers tba
At 14:30:
Zoe Arthurs (Young Members Board) will talk about her research on the topic for her Masters degree
Panel session with Q & A from the (virtual) floor
