It is with great regret that we announce the death of Monty Ellis at the age of 92, retired Telecoms Superintendent, Monty was a telegraph operator during the war. He was a long-time member of BIAS and wrote several articles about the early history of the telephone in our area in the BIAS Journal. He was a familiar sight at our meetings, making very astute comments. He died while writing a letter so a very peaceful way to go.
